Berry Cake.

Hi guys. It's already September now. Time passes so quickly!
Recently we've had around 30 degrees so it's a bit comfortable now but still hot.
Also you may know we've had a lot of natural disasters nowadays, it's  overwhelming.
I really hope everything is gonna be fine soon.

Okay I had been wondering what I should post next.
And I decided to blog about this berry cake that was a commission for movie promotion of "Downsizing".
Anyone already saw it? ...I did:)
my impression from the trailer I imagined it'd be like "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" movie ( ...Wow the original title is completely different than Japanese one. ours called "Micro Kids" haha) Although it was more like a human drama!

I made lots of berries for this cake, strawberry, blueberry and raspberry.
I only attached the berries around the edge of the cake and in the center you can decorate whatever you want :)
The white bowls are from SugarCharmShop. I love her ceramics so much!

definitely need a  tweezers!

with full of berries!

full of berries or just only around the edge...
Which is your favourite? :)

This cake is actually used in this promotional video of downsizing below.
It's in Japanese but you can skip the opening scenes and see how they used this cake.
Just a short video but I'm sure you will enjoy haha.

My miniature pieces with Downsizing goods.

It was a really good experience and big honour the fact they decided to choose my work!

Rainbow Bread Breakfast Set

Rainbow Bread Breakfast Set
Hello....August.
Have you been able to handle the summer heat so far?
Seriously, really can't wait for summer to end because it's been quite tough here...
I was a bit surprised that there was a day that the temperature was 30 degrees and ....I felt comfortable! haha
Anyway hope you guys are fine and having a nice summer!

Today I'm showing Rainbow bread breakfast set which I made last year.

Rainbow bread
First time when I tried making this bread, rainbow colors were kind of lighter,
so you couldn't see the rainbow swirl clearly.
The above one I changed colors slightly darker and turned out good:)
Texturing the surface of slice of bread was also first time that I've tried!
It was fun but took me time to finish.
Fruit yoghurt
Then I decided to make yoghurt as I thought it'd be perfect for breakfast too :)
The bowls were made out of plastic sheet, fruits and yoghurt were from polymer clay.
Polymer clay liquid is easier for me to handle than UV Resin,
Although as you cannot bake plastic sheet and polymer clay together so I had to make a same sized bowl mold for baking.
fit in the plastic box!
I made slices of butter(the mini pink butter dish too) for the bread and attached them on the wooden cutting board.
put them in the little box, then all done!

Heaven of Cinnamon rolls.

Hi everyone. How are you?
It's been terribly hot here in Japan and I can easily get sick cause of this heat.
You know what, we have 35-40 degrees almost everyday and it's really really tough. I'm even scared of going outside:/
I remember the summer in the UK was so comfortable. I miss it so much(Their summer ended so quick though...)

 Anyway the last post I said I was going to show you the completed Lemon-themed working table, but I changed my mind.^^;
I've made a lot of miniature pieces for the past few years so
I'm going to introduce my past works randomly :)

So today I am showing you tons of cinnamon rolls (haha jk) lol
But yeah I made a lot.

My first miniature cinnamon roll.
Well, this is not actually the "first" cinnamon roll. because about 4 years ago I used to make food jewelries and I made some cinnamon roll earrings, I remember.
But the scale were much bigger and it was different.
So this is kind of my first "miniature" cinnamon roll.
Half-eaten
I love cinnamon rolls. Particularly the one from Starbucks is my fabourite.
This half-eaten one was acutally inspired from my cinnamon roll that I was eating at Starbucks.
I took the picture of my half-eaten then after I got back home, I made it as miniature.
It was fun:)

Cinnamon roll and coffee set.

After I finished some prototypes, I made 2 sets for my online store.
I prefer pull-apart cinnamon rolls because I like the process of texturing the cut surface.
Cinnamon roll tray.
Adding crumbles is the most important thing for my works!
a small addition makes things more realistic.
Coffee with cinnamon sticks.
Coffee cup was made out of PVC sheet but recently I prefer to use PET sheet.
I don't like coffee and even cafe latte too(I drink tea instead) but I thought coffee matches this scene.
Ready to eat!
The plate was also handmade. "HeavenlyCake miniatres" is printed on edge of the plate.
Cinnamon roll tray for bakery project.
This one I made just for another bakery project 2 months ago. It was still fun to make ;)

Okay that's all!
Hope you enjoyed my cinnamon roll stories!
Thank you for reading and see you next post.

My very first post.

Lemon-themed working table(wip)

Hello! My name is Ayu, the owner of HeavenlyCake miniatures.
I've been occasionally asked if I started blogging in English but I didn't feel like doing that at that time.
Now finally decided to start this English blog.
I don't think I can blog here as frequently as the Japanese one in my webstie.
Because it takes much more time for me to write stuff in English.
I studied English in the UK for 9 months but have been forgetting after I came back here
(I know 9 months were definitely not enough for learning language though, plus I became a very lazy student after 3 months passed ahhh)
I think blogging in English might help for improving/emembering it.
And yes...writing for people who want to see my works with English descliptions :)

Next blog I will be writing about the Lemon-themed working table that I recently finished.
The above image was still kind of work-in-progress.
I will introduce my past works with detailed pictures as well.

By the way I want to make this blog look cuter but kinda like this simple and shiny layout so far hehe

Anyway hope you'll enjoy :)
